New year? What's the difference?

I am waiting with my family for the ball to drop. We have a whole bunch of snacks and we are just sitting in front of the TV. I am glad the year is ending, but what is so different about New Years Day. It is the fact that it is a new calendar year? Why do people make promises to change their lives? I think we should change something about us everyday, not just the first of the year. Though, on that note, I want to never stop trying this next year. This will be such a big year for me. My 18th birthday, Graduation, Freshman year of College. With so many new things, it will be tough for me to want to keep going through the hard parts. I hope that I will always get through it without falling apart or getting "emo".

I just thought of something cool to do. I am going to recap the year in 30 different words. Here is my 2007.

1. Life-changing
2. Different
3. Crazy
4. Family
5. Driving
6. Swimming
7. Back-float
8. Sisters

Got to get back to partying! Have a great new year and don't worry to much about changing something to big. Take small steps each day and you'll get there before you even realize it.

Merry Christmas!

I know Christmas will be over in about 30 minutes. I will try to finish this blog before then, because then it will still be valid. I am glad for this year's Christmas. I got some awesome things, but I did not brag and tell people about what I got. I LOVED everything I got. I guess my favorite gift was my Ipod Nano, but I also loved my new bible (NLT). I am almost sad that Christmas is over, because it seems like now I just have to figure out what to do with all my new gifts. I will probably clean my room so I have space. I am also sad because I don't know how to go back to "normal" life, ya know? What was life before the Holiday season began? We spend months thinking and wondering about two days and then it is over and it is like "Wow, it's over." I know I always bounce right back, but it is the transition that is the hardest. I guess it won't be so bad this year because I get a little bit of Christmas tommorow too. Me, my sisters, my aunt and uncle and maybe thier kids are going to see 'Enchanted' in theaters. I am really excited about it.

I made this before the end of Christmas, although I don't know how many will be able to read this before Christmas ends. I am probabaly going to do some reading and then I am going "night night". I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and always rememeber that the "Christmas spirit" does not have to end after the holidays.

Always waiting for something...

Do you ever feel like you are always waiting for something you want? You are always waiting for your dreams to come true, or for something exciting to happen? I have been thinking so much about college and I never realized that once I am in college, I will be waiting to get out. Sure, the first year will be a blast.. but it will be anything else.. I will want something else... Life could become mundane and will want something new and exciting...

So, I would like to stop waiting and wanting more... I would like to cherish every moment for what it is. I don't want to wait for something more exciting, because it might not get anymore exciting then this. Think about it... If this was everyone's last day, what would there be to wait for? I am sorry to be somewhat confusing... It's just that I feel like too many people put too much into thier future when they can do so much today. So, if you are actually reading this.. I advise you to live for the present. Prepare for the future, but realize what you have at this very moment. Worry about today, because with tommorow comes a whole new set of worries. Wow, I have to stop writing in typical sayings.. But it's true...

OK, now if you are still here with me after my "coom boy ya" moment, I will finish my road trip story. We left off on the bus back home, right? Well, after we left, I started getting tired and bored. I was not bored at first, but after a while of everyone around me sleeping, it was sort of tiring. The singer of Ember was in the back of the bus, and I was trying to listen to him telling stories. That was kind of interesting, but sad because I wanted to join the conversations, but I was far away and no-one noticed me listening. After a while of me feeling lonely, My best friend, who was sitting in front of me, would try to keep herself and everyone else by singing a chant she had learned. It goes "I'm alive, awake, alert and energetic! I'm alive, awake, alert and energetic." It was pretty funny when we would chant, even though we hardly meant what we said. After a while of that and other sillyness, me and my best friend sang "Matthias Replaces Judas" by Showbread. I think we sang that song over 5 times. It was fun though, even though I knew the song better then she did and I had to correct her or sing by myself until she remembered how it went. About a hour an a half into the ride home, we stopped at a gas station for food and bathroom breaks. I got myself a Revive viatim water. All my friends thought I was weird because I had not gotten a energy drink like them. (I always like to make good drinking and eating choices when I can.) I probably should have gotten something to eat, but I was not thinking straight. I was so tired that I felt like a zombie. I felt like I was not really alive. We got back to the bus and I switched seats becuase her feet were hurting her. (she had ramp like thing on her side.) I took the window seat then, but I don't like the seat by the window, because if were to crash, it would hurt my head. Yeah, I know no one thinks of things like that. I sort of wierd like that. We back to our chilling out, singing and trying to stay awake. Then, I started to feel apart of the group more when the singer from Ember was teasing my best friend. (They know each other. She was the one who told me about Ember.) That was pretty silly but I felt like in some way, I was talking to the guy from Ember, because I could laugh at what he was saying. I was sad to see him go before our last stop. After we stopped to drop some of the poeple of, it took another hour before we made it to the last stop. By this time, we were all just wanting to get home and sleep. Well, I least I was. When we got off the bus, the cold air took us by suprise. We had complained how cold it was on the bus, but it was so much colder when we got in the van. At least it woke us up a little. We took off from the bus. We listened to Queen on the way home because one of my friends had her Ipod with her. My dad loved almost all the Queen songs, and he even started singing. I am glad that he was not as tired as I was. The rest of van of really silent. I had a hard time staying awake, but I knew I could not sleep if I had tried. I just watched the road, and it was mesmerizing. After about 10 Queen songs, I decieded to see if everyone was awake. I put the Ipod on "Year 3000" from the Jonas Brothers. My sister and I sang, while (I think) everyone else hated it. I still sort of feel bad, because I don't think they liked me changing the music to boyband pop. I think I turned it back to Queen and things got quiet again, except for me singing "We will, we will, rock you." Some of us also did the claping too. Soon, we saw the sign for home. I also saw part of the skyline. I had never been so happy to see our welcome sign. It was like we had been gone forever. I guess it was becuase I was tired and just wanted to be home. On our way to dropping off my friends, we put on the Ember CD. It was awfully fitting. We were at the end of our great adventure and we were reminded of what we really came on this trip for. We dropped of the friends and said our goodbyes. We got back into our cold car and drove home. I was sick to my stomach at this point because I forgot to eat something after 6pm. It was now almost 5am and I realized that I was probably hungry. I was happy to get home, and when I did, I made myself some toast. For the rest of the night, I had Ember songs stuck in my head. I went to bed at about 530-6am.

That ends my road trip story. Fun, huh? I don't think I will do it again.. even though they are hosting another one. It was too much on me. I woke up the next morning crabby and tired. I did not get back into the swing of things for a while afterwards either. It was a wild ride though. I am glad that I decieded to do it. Right now, I am signing of and going to sleep.

Road Trip P.2

I told you I would finish my story today.. I really don't feel like blogging actually. I don't feel like doing much of anything. It has been sort of a yucky day emotionally for me. I just feel like I am going to explode.. well at least my brain. There are so many things that are up in the air right now, and I am afraid they are all going to crash down if I don't keep trying to hold it all up. It's really overwhelming to think about it.

I guess I should continue my story.

We arrive at the place and I get excited. The place was not as big as I thought it would be, but it was really cool inside. I took quite a few pictures. My friends and I took pictures together too. Me and my best friend took a picture with our "punk" faces. I looked ridiculous. It looked more like a ghetto look. Oh well.. We checked out the place and walked around. There was a food court area and a sitting area. There were also lots of video screens which played music videos. If my mom were there, she would have got overwhelmed. The bands get started and the first one (not Ember) plays. They were pretty good but well.. we were not there to see them. While the second band plays, we all sit down at a table at eat a soft pretzel with cheese. There is also free popcorn. The cheese sauce was too spicy and the popcorn was WAY too salty. I was hungry though. The band that was playing was not that good. I really did not pay much attention to them actually. People around me just told me that they did bad. Ember was the third band. Even during sound check, everyone but me and my dad go up to the very front of the stage. I sit back at the table because my dad told me the sound is better farther away then right up close. (He is a sound tech.) It was OK sitting back away from the stage until I felt guilty for not being up there. It was like I was not really supporting them if I did not stand with the others. Plus, I felt sort of left out. I was actually pretty cool to be near the stage anyway. I got to jump around and throw my hair around with my friends. It was an awesome performance and I really enjoyed it. The only thing I did not like was that there was a mosh pit for a couple of the songs. I do not like mosh pits. Luckily, I stayed out of it and their concert ended safely for me. After all that, I was out of breath and energy from jumping, dancing and screaming. The next band was a screamo band. I do not like screamo bands. My dad and my sister do not like screamo either. I am glad they both had come with me, because I would have been with my friends- who were still in the front row- if they had'nt. Me and my sister hid in the sitting room to try to block some of the sound. It helped only a little. We sat back there until it was over. They anounced that we could vote now, so we got our ballots and (of course) voted for Ember. Soon afterwards, we found out we had to get back on the bus because they weather was supposed to get bad. That of course make me sort of scared and I thought of crashing again. Anyway, I had thought they were going to ancounce the winner right there, but I guess that it not what happens, so I did not feel bad about leaving early. We did not know till later on the bus that Ember got second place. First place went to the sreamo band. Before we get back on the bus, I got a Ember sticker. Me and my sister were going to get a t-shirt, but dad did not have enough money. We were going to get one and then we could share it, but we will have to wait until another time. A few minutes later, we all get on the bus. I sit next to my sister because she said she would keep me up. Oh, and this was around 11ish.

Don't get mad at me.. I think I am going to have to make this into a three part story. It has taken me an hour already to write this post. I have other things I need and want to get done. I also realized that my storytelling was horrible. Thanks to anyone that made it this far without falling asleep or giving up on my blog. Tommorow, I will hopefully be feeling better and I will write more.

Over and Out,

Inspiration

I believe that inspiration comes from anywhere. Sometimes, it is song that you hear on the radio. Sometimes, it is what someone says. Other times it could be a movie or something you just happen to read at the time you needed to. In the past couple years, I have come to know that it happens randomly and it has no limits to where it can be found. There could be a time where I feel horrible and then I find a song that tells me EXACTLY what I needed to hear. I love that. For example, I have been hard time accepting myself in the past months or so. If I turn on the radio to a Christian station, I reminded of how much God loves me and accepts me when I don't. Is that not awesome?!

I am sorry guys for not expounding on my last post. That is just how my brain works and I and others have to accept it. Oh, the pumpkin roll was good though. It was filled with real cream cheese, not the flavored filling.

Yesterday was a long day. Wanna hear what I did? I shall tell you the fairly long story. Well, I like this band: Ember. www.wearember.com They are awesome and one of my favorite bands right now. Well, they decided to host a road trip to a concert of theirs. For me, it was a 1 hour drive to the place where we were going to get on buses. Me, my sister, my dad, my best friend, and two other friends went with my group. So, we get to this meeting place where we meet others who are going to this concert. First, I thought this was a pretty cool idea because it was a 4 hour to this concert from our house and my dad did not want to drive, so I was pretty excited. When we get to the meeting place, it is a school bus that we are riding in. I have not been on a school bus since Elementary school. We get on the bus, pick us some more kids at different stop, and start the 3 hour drive. School Bus! Not the most comfortable place to sit. Plus, I was always worried that the bus would get into a accident and we would all die. At least we had music and friends. Me and my best friend would sing really loud to the music until I started laughing. A litle while later we stopped for lunch. My little group ate at Toco Bell. On our way out, I fell into the snow trying to climb over something on the way to the bus. That was fun.. No really.. it was.. We get back on the bus. Soon, I start getting tired. The bus seemed louder since everyone had eaten, but I was getting bored. I just wanted off the bus. Like I said before, at least we had awesome music. So, more driving..more sitting and more worrying that the bus was going to crash. When we finally got there, I was very happy. It was sort of wierd because the trip there was so long that seemed like it was the experience itself. I had remind myself of the whole purpose of the whole trip: the concert.

Wow, I need to get to bed. I did not have very much sleep last night and so I need to get plently tonight. Sorry to leave a clifhanger. Oh, and the Low battery warning just came up on my laptop too. That is my sign to get to bed. I will finish my Ember Road trip story tommorw. I promise.

Driving, School and the rest of the things that cause me stress!

Hi people. I am back for a while. I actually felt like updating my blog. I was like "I might post about what I have been up to." So, here I am. What should I start with first. How about the most stressful to least stressful. (Now, my life is not THAT stressful, but enough to want to cry every once in a while.)

1. Driving-
I actually got on the road last week. I drove home! It was such an accomplishment. Me and my dad were in the parking lot and he told me, "We are going on the road." I said, "I don't think so. The parking lot is comfortable." My dad replied, "Come on. I broke my legs and I can't drive. You have to take us home." (he did not have broken legs, for those who did not catch that.) So, after many deep breaths, I slowly crawled out of the parking lot. It scared me so much! I think I mumbled "Oh God" at least 10 times through the 10 minute or so driving experience. It felt like forever. I did good though. I stayed in my lane and I made pretty good left turns. (Left turns are the scariest for me though.) Once I got home, I was pretty happy with myself, but I don't want to do that anytime soon. I know I need to drive more, but I still dread the road experience.

Why is it then whenever I actually get the opperunity to blog, I can't? I have to go out with my mom. She is going to get me a pumkin roll though. It is pumkin cake with cream cheese. I will TRY to get back on here afterwards or later tonight, but ya know me...

Long Day

Today was a long day. I am glad I am finally lounging on the couch doing nothing at all. I don't really want to go into details, but here is the short version. I was up at 5:00am, ate breakfast with my dad, went driving..(will explain more soon), banking, doctor's app., Radio Shack, dinner, and then home.

Here is my longer version of driving. I went on the road! I drove on the country road going at least 35 mph. I only got off the road once, but I got back on really fast. While I was driving I kept drifting out of my lane. I could not stay in my lane. I DID make a really cool banked curve though. I was very proud of myself. Next time, I am going to do better, I am sure. It was not as scary as I thought it would be.

Hmm.... What to talk about... OOO, how about the Biggest Loser. I really like that show. I am watching it in a hour. I always like to see how they get through the workouts and the challenges. Some of the challenges I don't think I could do and I am fairly fit. They should have a reality shows for skinny twigs. They give them muscles and make them less scrawny. It is always sad though when someone has to go home. Last week was surprising because I thought David was going to be one of the ones that loose the most wieght.

Well, I am going to maybe do some reading or posting on my message board. Would you believe I did not post the last time when I said I would? Yep..

TTYL,
Brenna

How I love to waste time!

So, yeah, I get on the laptop thinking I am going to do something productive.. ha! I get on YouTube and watch Life With Derek (my favorite show) music videos. There are so many good ones. I was going to visit Experience Project and post on my favorite message board. I miss everyone on there. I still might do that after I am down with this post. I wanted to update you all on my life, my interesting yet boring life..

School- I am almost done with English this quarter. I have untill Midnight tonight to make and turn in a family tree. I am probally going to wait until the last second because that is what I like to do. I have a few assignments in Economics tommmorow. I feel like I am actually more in controll now. I am caught up and things are going good. I got a 93% on my quarter test in Economics. There were 60 questions and I only missed 4! That was an awesome feeling.

Driving- I am done with the classroom part of driving. It was OK. It was not like the best time I had ever, but I was not bored to death. The teacher was nice and I really did learn alot. My favorite part of the class was the worksheets or the videos. Most of the videos were from the 90's and so they all looked funny. Ya know, 90's style.. One of the videos had a message from the president.. George Bush, Sr. My least favorite part of the class was the reading and the notes. She wrote things on the board and we wrote them in notebooks. Then there was a video of real car crashes and the impacts on the victims. There was this accident where they were going 85 miles per hour and they all got tossed out of the car. They showed each one of them.. the bloody gory mess that they were. It was aweful, but it really showed me the damage something like that could do.

Well, I got to do other things now.. Like maybe some posting.. Ohh, that sounds funnnn...

Too Long but Not Enough TIme

Hahaha, like the blog title? It does make some sense if you think about it? Have you ever done something that seemed to take forever, but when it came to a end you realized that it was not enough. It seemed like it should have been longer. I feel like that about two things; driving school and high school. Driving school is two weeks. I am supposed to be prepared for driving in the "real world" in two weeks. The classes are really long and it is very hard to remember everything. I don't know if I will even pass the test at the end of the two weeks (this Wednesday). Well, I don't know.. I don't know if I will be prepared to drive. The other thing is high school. When I first started off in 9th grade, I wish I could have skipped foward a couple grades, and now, while I don't feel like going back, I feel like things are comming to a end. I am almost done with the first quarter of school. This will be the end of my last first quarter. I know it does not sound like a big deal, but it kinda is. I don't really like things to end. I cried when 9th grade was over. By 10th grade, I did not cry but I got really sad. I get sad at the end of every semester when I have to change classes. I say goodbye to my teachers and I never talk to them again (something I kind of regret but I just don't feel the need to email my old teachers. They probally forgot about me anyway.) What will I do when I am done with high school? What will I do that summer? I don't have another year of high school to look forward to.. I have college to look forward too. That is something totally new.

Well, I should probally stop thinking myself to death. OK, so I like doing it.. but I think I should be more lighthearted sometimes and not think so much about how I might mess things up or what I could do differently. It's not really my life to live anyway. It's God's.. sorta. My life is according to what he wants.

I can't really think of anything else to write about that does not require some emo self-examining. Ohh, I feel a little better today. I still can't breath through my nose all the way, but I am living and doing alright. I guess it is OK having a cold. There is worse. Now, I must go to bed. I am trying to sleep earlier and wake up earlier. So far, it has not been working, but I am always trying.

God bless you all..

I'm so sick!

This is always the song that comes into my head when I have a cold. I always the "I'm so sick" part. I don't think I could scream it though. But, yes, I am very sick today. I had to stay home from church and everything. I don't like having a cold. I think it is one of the worst things I could have. My nose is all stuffed up. I feel so yucky. My eyes are all watery and it is hard to swallow.

Here is a funny story...

So, when I am sick, it must increase my ADDness because I have done about three different things in the time I was writing this blog. Well, they all involve YouTube. First, I got that "I'm So Sick" video. Then I found "My Immortal". I love that song. So I watch a little bit of the video and others singing it. Then someone who sang that song also sang "Who Knew" by Pink, which is one of my favorite songs right now. So, I watched that and some other REALLY good singers sing that song. Here is my favorite version.

You would not want me to sing right now. That would probally be pretty bad.

So, I also wanted to watch TV Shows and the computer. Like that was my orignal plan but I got downstairs and on the computer and everything changed. I am not good at doing what I plan on doing. Well, at least I am updating my blog. I don't ever do that often, even though I PLAN on doing it almost everyday.

Well, I think I will get on ABC.com or NBC.com. OOO, maybe a episode of Carpoolers or Chuck will get me happy and lauging again. I will check back tommorow.. if I am still alive or able to post.

Over and Out,
Brenna

I promised!

See, I follow through sometimes. I actually got home and did the dishes first. Then I went to watch Life, which I did not like. I only watched 30 minutes and then erased it. I am trying to find new shows to watch this season. So far, I have only found two (that are not game or reality shows). They are Chuck and Kid Nation. There are other shows that have not premiered yet, so there is still hope that I will find more, but it is hard when the shows you are used to watching end. So, yep, I did not get to get on the computer right away.

I really do like blogging and writing about everything and nothing, but I kind of feel like I have to write about a certain thing or make it interesting in order for my readers to like it. I guess I am too worried about what others think so I wait until I have good news or exciting stories. I feel like if I write about the boring events of my everyday life, I am boring the few people that actually want to read this blog. Make sense? But you know what? I am going to write about what I feel like writing about. If I write about how I brushed my teeth today or how I fixed my hair, then I guess that is fine. Don't worry, I won't give you a play by play of my entire day. I don't know who is reading this, so I don't want to give too much information about what I do all the time.

So, let's start.

I am learning to swim. My parents tried to teach us when we were little but we never got passed the blowing bubbles in the water part. We would freak out when they actually taught how to float. But now we are learning, and I must admit it is kind of freaky. I know it is nice to learn so I don't drown but I don't like feeling like I have no control. The water could take me under and I would be a goner. OK, so maybe it does not happen that fast but it is still scary. I am getting really good at treading water. Last week, I could go ten seconds without touching the bottom of the pool. I was really proud of myself. I think I was being kind of show-offy though, cuz my sisters can't tread water yet, but they are learning.

Wow, I am getting tired. My eyes are actually drooping. You ever feel like you have weights on your eyes? Its like they really want to close, but I am trying to keep them open for as long as possible. That's OK. I should probably go to bed anyway. I have a big school day tomorrow. Ahhh, Fridays are always the toughest, because I struggle to get everything that is due in. Sometimes that means that I finish things at the last minute.

One more thing, tell me if you read the shared items thing on the side. I like looking for things to share from my RSS feeds and what to know if anyone likes it or not. Please tell me anything I can do to make this blog better or if you have ideas about what I could talk about. I must go to bed now. Oh, I might do some reading first though. Good Night.

Love Always,
Brenna

Ahhh, the life of a teenager..

I have been busy, so very busy, yet I still think I can fit more into my life. Lets see, I have school, friends, family, online friends, college search and application process, financial aid, keeping up with the news, chores and trying to accomplish my own goals like reading and exercise. Everytime I want to blog and plan to write here, I get sidetracked or end up doing something completely opposite. But I have the time now, and although there are other things I kind of want to do, I have to stop puting off writing more about my life. I feel like since others are reading and actually wanting to know more about my life it puts more pressure on me. I know it's not my readers' fault, and I will just write more often even if it is about less important things.

I am getting behind in English so if you are reading this, would you please pray? I am about a week behind. I had to read a 113 page poem. It is a epic poem from the 100's. It is very old and very difficult to understand, and I hope I have not mentioned this in the last blog... OH Man, I got to leave for practice now. My sister is yelling for at this exact moment. I promise to write more when I get back. PROMISE.

Insert witty title here..

It has come to my attention that my last blog was boring and too short. I will try to write more about what is going on in my life with more detail. I am sorry for the short posts. I guess I thought I should write to say something then nothing at all. Oh, well today will be a longer post. It will be “meatier” with more detail.

How about I start with something exciting. I am going to Homecoming. My best friend at Clay is inviting me to go with her and her friends. I have never been to a dance before, so it will be an experience. I am planning on going to prom this year though. I have an idea about who I am going to take, but I will have to wait and see. I mean, how would I ask someone to the prom. Is that not something the guy is supposed to do? Ok, choo choo. Back to homecoming. I have also never been dress shopping. I have never worn a dress, besides a Easter dress. My two best friends and I went to Debs Thursday. Oh my gosh, there were so many dresses. Most of them were v-neck and I said that did not want a dress that showed lots of cleavage. We looked at the sale rack and there were so many different types. There were some that I would never wear in a million years and some that I thought were really “trashy”. We grabbed 5 dresses that caught our eye and went towards the dressing room. I think trying on the dresses was half the fun. The first one was blue with lots of sparkles. Sparkles got all over because they fell off the dress. My friends liked the dress, but I did not. It was short; it went to just above my knees. It also was to low-cut. I tried on another dress that was like it. It was pink. I liked it except for the fact that it was v-neck and showed lots of cleavage. I told them I would not feel comfortable and my dad would not let me wear it. It was kind of funny because every time I tried a dress on that showed to much skin, they would say to each other “yeah, you got to think about her dad.” I was ready to scream out “What about me. What if I don't want to show that much skin?” But I let them believe that the only reason I did not choose the flashy dress was because of my parents. I tried on the other dresses. One was blue and it went to the floor. I found it very difficult to put on. It was really nice looking and I liked it but it was too long. Then I tried a light green dress that was really long to. I loved it but I could not zip it up all the way and it did not come in a size bigger. They could not find any dress in that same style. So I put all the dresses back on the hangers and felt bad for not finding anything. Then they handed me a dress through the door and it looked interesting. It was strapless but it covered everything so there was no cleavage when I put it on. It went down below so that was good. The dress is black and white and it is a huge flower print. It is kind of like a Hawaiian print. It has a silk lace that ties in the front. It looks really cool but it is not something I would have picked out for myself. My friends loved it too and they were proud that they picked something out. So that was my dress adventure. It only took us 20 minutes to find a dress too.

You probably want to know how school is going now.. Actually I have to work on an assignment today. I was kind of laxed yesterday so I need to make up for it today. This semester I have English IV (4) and Business Economics. They are both pretty good classes, but there is lots of work involved. It is only the second week and I already have a 2 to 3 page narrative due on Wednesday. My teacher wants me to send in all the parts of the writing process too. I don't really use the writing process. I just write it out, check for errors and publish it or send it in. My teacher wants me to Pre-write, draft, edit, proofread and make a final copy. I am not even sure what I am writing about yet. Business Economics is about personal spending so far. This week was about how to make wise spending choices and knowing how much is too much. The class is pretty cool so far.

Ok, maybe I spent to much time on the dress thing but it was exciting. Oh, and the dress was only 7 dollars. I must get going and do my chores and that assignment. I also have some other things I would like to do today. I hope I made this long enough. If there is anything you want to know, don't be afraid to comment or send me an email. Ok, before I go, I must post something funny. Don't worry no more silly icons...

I hope you have a awesome day! Love you all,
Brenna

I could totally see something like that happening to me. I have been on this icon thing and there are some really good ones. Here, I'll put up some.

So, as I was searching through all these I lost my desire to write about how things are going lately. Life has been awesome and surprising. I will make this all very short, because I have to work on laundry.
I have a job at McDonalds and I am actually excited about it.
I now work on the slides at my church. So now I sing on the stage and do background work too. I really like being on both sides. Its like when you are an actor but you also like to be on the stage crew. I can't sing and run the computers at the same time though.
Hmm.. I really can't of much more that has been big news. I am trying to get into better habits. I am writing more instead of typing and I am trying to read my bible everyday. Habits are really hard to form though. But I know if I keep working on them, it will get easier.

Well, I am going to get going on laundry. I'll write more soon... hopefully. Oh, and you don't need an acount to comment, so all those who just read blogs, you can still send me a message. Love ya all,
Brenna

My life up til this point..

I have not been able to post very much because I could only post on my dad's laptop. I can now post on my computer but it is slightly annoying. Oh, I can't wait until I can get a MacBook. I will be able to blog and read while I am doing other things. Till then I have to live with a computer where words show up seconds after a type. The delay is really bothering me. I am not sure if I can blog like this. I copied into OpenOffice. It is much faster and more like real time now. Hahaha, I am so smart.
Now, on to what I have been up to.

I got my wisdom teeth pulled. It was a marvelous experience. No pain at all. Oh, and the swelling, oh it was so little you could hardly ever know it happened.. Yeah right. The first day was REALLY painful and the Vicoden did not do anything at all. I actually took some Tylenol and that made if feel better. Then later the narcotics made me sick and I threw up. One weird fact about me: I don't ever puke. I had not puked since I was maybe 11. It is not a very common thing for me, so I did not know that I was going to puke. I threw up in my hand on the way up to the bathroom. It was rather nasty. But now, I am feeling so much better. My gums back there are a little sore and it aches a little, but it is not as bad as before. I actually felt better Last Friday because I was able to go to a concert with my friends. So, that was not an awesome experience but I got through it and it is over now.

I have still been looking for a job. I am not really sure if I ever will get one. I am kind of thinking that it might be a better idea to get paid entering data online or taking surveys. This whole process has gotten frustrating and I don't feel like dealing with it any longer, but I am willing to do it to find a job. Applying and waiting... applying some more.. waiting some more... calling.. waiting.. Would you believe I have not had ONE job offer? NOT EVEN ONE! I am not sure what that means. It could either mean that they don't like me or I am not trying hard enough to impress them. I don't want to suck up to people, ya know? So, I will wait and relay on God to supply me with what I need.

I found this new site. The Experience Project. It is really cool. I like spending time on there because it is like a site where people share what is on their mind or what has been going on in their lives. I already have a few friends and I really hope I can still have time to hang out there. Yes, I am one of those geeks that hang out on the web. It really is part of my social life. The funny thing is I don't think it is any different then talking to people off line. People still need encouragement and they still want others to talk to. Yeah, I don't give my info out there though. I do realize that there are people that do bad things will good information. I am not naive in anyway but I also know that there are people like me, who find it sometimes more comfortable to talk about things when they don't see the expression on the other person's face.

COLLEGE. Oh yeah, I almost forget to tell you. I got accepted into college! Yeah, Cedarville. The same place I went for that summer program. If you want to know more about the college, you have view my posts from June. I am really looking forward to going there next fall, but not in a way that I thought I would. Ya know on TV when they jump up and down and then run to tell their friends. Well, I had a similar plan, but now most of my “friends” don't know that I got accepted. My plan was to first tell my boyfriend (hahaha) Then I would tell my family and we would all jump up and down and then go out to celebrate or something. Then my friends would find out and they would be really happy for me. I would squeal to them and they would squeal back. It would be a squeal fest, like the ones on TV where the girl tells her best friend that Brad asked her out. But, it was nothing like that. I did not jump up and down. My family was happy but they did not get together to be happy. I did not rush to the phone- or internet- to scream it to my friends. When I told my mom she got happy but not like on TV. No hugs, no “You got into college!”, it was nothing like I thought it would be like. I mean, so many people don't know that I am already set to go to college next fall. I felt like I could announce it to the world but it would not make it feel real. Maybe it is because at this time, I would be applying, not already accepted. My friends will most likely ask in April and I will get to tell them that I got accepted in August. Maybe I am making a big deal out of it, but It does not seem real almost. Like, I am still applying and searching when in truth it is all over. But, I must tell myself that I really am apart of the class of 20012 and I am really able to go to college next year.

That is what has been happening to me so far in my life. I will be trying to keep this up a little more. Just keeping watching for new posts and keep reading those who do. Hey and spread the word. There is nothing I like better then complete strangers knowing my deep thoughts. Ok, not really...

What I have realized recently..

Hey everyone. I just want to tell you right off the bat that this point will NOT be me complaining about how my life is confusing and how confused I am. I am sorry about that. This post is more about what I am trying to learn that is really hard sometimes.

My life is not bad at all. I am blessed beyond belief. I don't deserve any of it, but somehow, it's what I got. I got a family that loves me and takes care of me. Just yesterday I wanted an apple pie from McDonalds, so my dad drove out of the way to get me two. My mom bought me my favorite cereal from the store the other day. My parents are so good to me, even if they can be really annoying. Sometimes, I don't know how I can repay them for all they do, except to do my best and make them proud. I love them so much.

I have great sisters. They are my bestest friends. Growing up with sister close to my age was like growing up with built in best friends. I love them both. I usally annoy them, but I
think they know how much I just like to make them laugh or yell at me. It's lots of fun.

I have awesome friends! Yeah, I complain how I am unpopular and I know that is true- not going to deny it. But if I have just one friend that cares enough about me, then I have all the friends I need. I go back and forth between feeling accepted and feeling like a loner. I realized that I have always have had at least one true friend. I think the problem was me. I felt like I was left out. It had to do with how I thought. I kept trying to fit into the wrong groups because I have always wanted to be friends with everyone. You know what? Even if all my freinds abandon me- which is possible cuz they are human- God is still the BEST FRIEND anyone could ask for.

So, yeah, this is me trying to figure out why I feel that my life is terrible sometimes when I have soo much. Its all about perception I guess.

I don't know...

Right now all I feel like doing is crying. I am not really sure either. Maybe I miss my friends from Cedarville. Maybe I am overwhelmed because I still don't have everything done. I don't know why I am so low right now. I just want this annoying feeling to go away. I want to do so many things at once, but I can only do one. I am probably making no sense, because I really don't even know how I feel right now. Maybe I should just lay down for awhile. I just wanted to blog and keep you guys updated. I am sorry that sometimes I don't feel like writing the details of my life down. It seems like when I want to write those things down, I don't have time. When I have to time to write everything down, I don't want to do it anymore.

I got a job today. My first job. I am a working woman now! I work with my mom (tough stuff). I am a barista. It's a lot of work but it is really rewarding. I am glad I could get this job. It has been a dream of mine to work in a coffee shop or a bookstore. I got new shoes so my feet were really hurting the whole time.

Gosh you guys have no idea how bad I feel because I promise to write about my life and I don't. I can't. Its like I get on here and I lose all interest in talking about what happened in my day. I am just really overwhelmed. There are so many things I want to do. I feel like a horrible friend, family member and Christian because I don't have the time and energy to do everything I want to. I want to do everything. I want to be the best person I can be. I want to pray for EVERY single prayer request someone I love has. I want to have time to talk to all my friends about their problems. I want to make a difference in someones life, but I get too overwhelmed. I want to do so much than what I do now. I want to CHANGE THE WORLD. I want to give all my money to the homeless, but I have to pay off loans. I want to sponsor a child in Africa, but I have to pay off money that I owe people. I have to put myself through driving school. I want to live solely for God and His plans but that overwhelms to point that I am paralyzed. God can't use me when I am like a deer in headlights; just standing there not knowing what to do. There I go crying again. Maybe I need rest. I don't know what to do with myself. Maybe it's because I have been fighting with God. I think he wants me to go to Cedarville. I don't know if I want to, even though I love the place and the people. I'm scared that I might miss something if I don't go to Princeton or Bucknell. Wait, but won't God have something better planned for me. Something that surpasses anything I could have ever thought would be the best college experience. Fine, right here, right now. I made my choice. If I get accepted to Cedarville, I am going. I give my dreams of prestige colleges to you, God.

Well, I am going to rest now.

Detail for last post!

Hey.

I know its late again, but this time I will post longer. I tend to learn about myself when it is late at night because I would say or think things that I would not normally. Ok, what was first on that list?

College class..

So I guess I got a "A" in Politics and American Culture. I got a 95 on my final exam. I was like "oh my goodness, I got an A in a college class." I can do it. Its not impossible to succeed in a college setting. It's crazy to think that I could do it. I have never taken any type of class where I had to take notes and do extra reading. I never had a written exam before either. I did it though. I made it! I can't believe it! A part of me still thinks that the class was made easier for us and so we were set up to get "A"s. My parents say that is just me being hard on myself. They could be right, but I want to know that this class was a challenge. I like challenges. It makes me feel good about myself when I do something that I did not think I could ever do.

Giving blood...

Ever since I turned 17 and knew that I could give blood, I wanted to. Yesterday, I went to a blood drive with one of my friends. She had given blood many times before and she told me it was no big deal. On the way, I was slightly nervous but mostly I was excited. I don't have money to give to charities and so I always try to think of ways I can help. Giving blood is one of these little ways. I got there and filled out the forms. It took longer than I thought and it was probably a hour until the actual blood part. When I went to sit, I asked the technician lots of questions. Of each step of the process, I asked at least one question. I don't think he minded but I felt bad afterwards. It hurt when the needle went in, but not too bad. The blood sample at the beginning was the worst, because they prick your finger. So, I sat there and about half way through the process I got dizzy. All of a sudden I felt lightheaded, like I was going to pass out. My vision got blury. It was really scaring. I told him and it was like a ER scene. Within seconds I was laying flat and they put wet cloths on my forehead and neck. They told me not to close my eyes and I got kind of scared. My stomach was a little quesy but soon I felt better. After they took all the blood they needed, he gave a can of apple juice and I sat there for awhile. I was glad that he was really nice to me because I was still a little anxious. Afterwards, I realized that it was worth it. They told me that I can save three lives with the blood they took. That's really neat.

I am going to blog about the rest later. I don't feel like writing anymore. Now, its just reading time.

Here are some tibbits of my day- talking to college buddies, facebook, TV, fireworks (the best I've seen, they were awesome.) Today was a good day. I thank the Lord for the blessings I have recieved in a short 24 hours.

Late night blogging

Hi.

I wanted to go into this really long blog about the past couple of days, but I got on the computer and did everything else except for what I wanted to do. Now, it is late and I must be going to bed. I want to let everyone know that I am alive and well, but I miss my college friends. My friends from back home do not seem to care as much, at least most of them.

Here are some of the things I will discuss in detail when I have time.

My college class
Giving blood for the first time
My friends from college
My ACT scores
Where I want to go to college

I am sorry I can not go into detail tonight, but as soon as I can I will.

Love to all and Happy 4th of July,
Brenna

Me being Emo.

I don't know what to do. I don't know whether I should spend the next two hours hanging out with my friends or crying in my room. I need to get the emotion out. I don't think I could go out there and pretend to smile. It just hit me hard a little bit ago; I am leaving. I am leaving. I am going back home and leaving Cedarville possibly forever. I may never see some of the people here again. It's sad to think that I have to somehow get back into my basic routine when I was just getting used to this one. I think I am going to just turn my music on and cry for a little bit. Maybe. I don't know! I am kind of tired but I don't want to go to bed because I have to take each moment I have here as something special. So I may go to bed at 1 or 2. I am not sure.

Almost over..

I am almost ready to go home. Well, its Saturday that I go back home. I am so relieved to go back home, but I also want to stay here too. I have met really cool people and have made good friends. I don't want to leave them. Well, its a good thing they have Facebook and email. I sooo want to just be home watching T.V and hanging out with my best friends in the whole world (my sisters). I have so many mixed feelings. I want to go, I don't want to go. If there was a way to stay here with my friends and go home, I would want that option. I want to eat lunch with them and laugh until my side hurts. I want to stay here where I have a group of friends to hang out with. I have friends at home, but we don't really hang as a group. But this experience has taught me to take more risks socially. At church now, if there is a group of people that are talking, I will join them. Even if I don't know them, I will get to know them by talking to them. I need to be more "out there". Not outgoing, but ready to join conversations and be willing to share things about myself that I usally don't.

Ok.. so I am kind of studying. Well, my study partner is while I type. I am kind of studying though, but I had to look up a storm that is over here. It was really dark outside so it was distracting. It is not as dark out now, but it is still storming. Alright, well, I have other things I must do. I am excited that my parents are comming tommorow and they are going to join me for dinner. My sisters are also comming for dinner. Well, I really need to get to flashcards.

Update and a small rant.

Hey everyone! I hope things are well with you guys. Things are going good for me, for the most part. There are a few annoyances but I am working to get around them. First, there are groups of poeple; clicks. I love hanging out with poeple, but its sometimes hard when certain people hang out with certain poeple. Who knows? I may be wrong, but it seems like some poeple have already found where they belong and are sticking to that. Maybe I am not trying hard enough to be outgoing but I would like it if people came to me to talk or hang out. I don't know. It's probally just some underlying problem of not being content. I have met awesome people here, and while I don't belong to a group of friends, I can say that all the poeple here are in some ways friends of mine.

You guys started this blog to find out what I have been up to and I start talking about more deeper things. I am sorry for that. This is apart of my time here. I am trying to figure out who I am and where I belong. I want to be in the center of God's will for my life and I can only pray that that is where I am. I have learned new things about myself. I can do anything pretty much. I am WAY more independent than I thought. I am able to conquer fears I thought were impossible to conquer. I have learned to put myself out there and not be afraid of how others respond. I have learned that being in a group is not everything, and you can be apart of a group without being "apart" of a group. I can handle college level work. I can handle a lot more than I thought. I am soo ready for college. It's weird. I want to come back here, but part of me wants to go home and stay home, because that is where I am accepted. I am afraid if I come back, it will be the same and I will once again, feel left out, but this time for 4 years. You see, I want to be friends with everyone. I like hanging out with a diverse amount of people. I guess I have to realize that there are groups that I will never really be apart of.

Today was my first exam. It is not as bad as a thought, but I am not sure if I did a group job. I hope so. I want to get into Princeton. In case you don't know, I am a overachiver. I strive for my personal best. I don't EVER want to settle for something that does not meet my standards and God's. As I am realizing that I might want to come back here for college, I am scared that I will have missed my big chance at Princeton, Yale or Bucknell. In chapel today, the speaker was talking about how so many people take God's will as being a dot which you have to land on. I am one of those people. If I don't go to the right college, I will mess up my entire future. I could end up in a career that I hate doing and never get married. I don't know where I am supposed to go and that scares me very much. I want life to be like "Touched by a angel" or "Joan of Arcadia". God will just give me a assignment and I complete it and go on to the next one untill I reach heaven.

Once again, I am sorry for those of who wanted a play by play of how life is like here. Well, in a way, this is the way life is here.

Oh, one more thing. I am not sure how many people are reading this from home, but I would like mail. I hate to sound like a brat, but do you guys even miss me? Brenna? Who is that? Oh, thats right, she is that one girl who comes every Sunday with her sisters. I did not know she was gone. Huh.

Alright, I have taken myself from happy to thoughful to slightly sad. Great. Well, I got to go.

Ttyl,
Brenna

Don't worry.

This post is to remind all of you that I am alive and well. I am not sick anymore and I can get off my cracker diet! Yay. I am so tired and happy and tired and stressed and all sorts of things at the moment. To sum it up real quick, there are days when I don't want to be here at all and I would rather be at home sitting in front of the TV with my sisters. I miss them. But then there are days when I know God put me here for a special purpose and I want to follow him in whatever I do. I love it here but I don't like it here sometimes. I don't know. I am slightly confused. I know, I am confusing myself. Stop thinking so much, Brenna! There are so many things I have done in the last few days. First, I cried. Yeah, I am a emo person sometimes but that is ok I guess. (side note- I am writing whatever comes to my mind so if I get off topic, just remember that I have ADD.) Well, I was crying because I find it hard to fit into a certain group. I just want a group to hang out with. A group that will sit with me at lunch and stuff like that. I always have a hard time doing that and I don't think is not all thier fault. I am always thinking that I will never fit in. I always say to myself, "I am not cool enough to hang out in that group." I know I have esteem issues, but its tough when people don't always come up to talk. There are days when I am like "WOW, I fit in" and the next day i'll be like, "They don't want me to hang out with them." Its tough. So, I was crying and asking God to fill that whole in my life. I don't think he did, but I know its Ok if I am not super popularity girl. God made me realize something. If all the outgoing kids hung out together, who would hang out with the shy kids. Who would make them feel apart of a group? If they are like me, they want to be in a group, but they don't think themselves to be ____ enough. I dinner is going to be here soon. I will finish this up when I get back.

I love and miss you guys,
Brenna

College Day 4 and 5

Right now, I am sitting in my PJ's in my room. Yes, I am not in class, because I am sick. I think I have some stomach flu or something. I don't want to take a shower or go to class, because it is WAY to far from a bathroom. Plus, if I don't feel good at all, I won't learn anything in class. I know that people will fill me in about the class, and I hope there is no quiz today. Well, if there is, I will do it another day I guess.

So, I was going to write this blog but I got sidetracked started looking at Facebooks. About 20 students have Facebook so I many more Facebook friends now. Its nice. They do funny things and there is a group for Summer Studies and they have pictures up there, but I am not in any of them. Alright, I bet you guys want to know what I have been doing.

Lets see,

On Tuesday, I went to class. After the first class was chapel. Chapel is located in a regular event room so its not traditional at all. Its cool because they have worship and then a guest speaker. Another class, and then lunch. I think I had a taco. The room is so crowded at it is hard to find people to sit with. Then after lunch a friend and I went to get a sweater from our dorm because the classrooms are so cold. We barely make it back to class and I was late by 3 minutes or so. It was alright though. More class. There is alot of class time but it is OK but it is pretty fun. Got back to the dorm and read, I think, or maybe I hung out in some of the rooms. I went over to some of the rooms and talked to some of the other girls. It was nice to find that alot of people have the same things in common. I don't really remember all that much now. I know you guys want alot more detail but I have gone insane recently. Yesterday, in the cafeteria when I was getting silverware, I grabbed 3 forks. I did not need 3 forks but I put them on my plate. I realized what I was doing and slapped my self on the forehead and shaped my finger into a gun and pointed at my forehead. One of the guys must of been behind me because he said "That was really cute." I just rolled my eyes and walked away. He is one of those hyper types. If Lori were here and he was 2 years younger, Lori would probably like him. I also figured out another reason for my complete insanity, besides the amount of reading in my class. There is this guy that I really want to get to know, but I don't know how. He was walking by 3 minutes before my insane act so I think it is partly his fault. He is very mysterious. He seems shy but I don't think he is. Oh well, he will be going home soon and lets just say he does not live in Ohio. Oh, well, if it is meant to be, God will work it out.

So, what else do you want to know? Am I homesick? Yes. I feel like I love this place but I want to be home and watching TV and not having to worry about Federalism or the Constitution. I miss my kitty. I miss her curling up in my lap all cutely. I also miss my family. I miss my sisters. I want to talk to them about boys or imaginary world. I miss my parents and their talks with me. I miss my iced coffee drinks. I know I have another week, but I am just realizing how nice I have it at home. Some of the students don't even want to go home, and that makes me wonder how God gave me such an awesome family. I also miss my friends and church. If you are reading this and consider yourself a friend of mine, I miss you! Please email me, IM me or send me mail. I love mail, but I not gotten any yet.

I am going to sum up the rest of the days for you now. Putt Putt, singing, laughing, prayer, Flip Flops, studying, ice cream, Facebook, class, more studying and sleep. I am going to go to lunch soon and then go to the last class of the day. Alright,

TTYL,
Brenna

College Day 3

Yeah, so I started class today. I like my professor. He is very animated and humorous. I am pretty glad to be in his class. I hope you guys don't expect me to make a long page like I did yesterday. I really can't cuz there is so much reading I have yet to do. I am a slow reader and there is alot to read, so I am not totally sure I will make it, but with the strength of God I can do anything.

I have so many friends now; I am going to hate to leave. Maybe if I come back next year, there will some of them here. I already have some of the girls Facebook so we can still keep in touch. There is even a guy that I kind of think is cute and overall very cool. So I must sign off now. I hope my friends are going to send me mail...

College. Day 2

Hey everyone. I survived my first day away from my family. It was hard. I almost cried when they pulled away leaving me to check into my room. Its better now. I already know so many people. I even remember names. I felt apart of this group after one day, I can't believe what it will be like after 2 weeks. I start classes on Monday. YAY. I am pretty excited because there are only 45 students here. That means that there will probally be 10 students in my class. That is like a dream come true for me.

My impressions of the school are really nice, it is def. a place where I could consider going. My feelings could change later, but this place is nothing like I thought it would be. The RAs are funny. They have a sense of humor. I thought they would be a bunch of extra conservative poeple, but they remind me of my youth leaders back home. Its nice.

Ok, on to what I did last night. After I unpacked, all the students went to the Green Center and we met the RAs and RDs. Then we played some games. The first game we had to find signutures for the things on this list. You had to go around and ask poeple if they could sign your list. One of them was "you have been on television". I signed that for a lot a poeple. This was a great way to introduce myself. After that we played "Wind blows". There are two students in the center of a circle and everyone else in sitting in a chair. The two people find something in common and say "The wind blows if you are wearing blue" or something like that. Everyone runs to another seat if that is true for them. The two left standing find something they have in common and it starts again. I don't really like running but this game was fun. I got in the center maybe 3 times. The last game was fun too, but I don't have all that much time to talk about it. I'll sum up the rest of the night. Beach ball vollyball, fun, hanging out in dorm, fun, rootbeer floats and rules, small group time, met the RA's for the girls and went to sleep.

I took a shower this morning. It was not as weird as I thought. It was nice. Well, now I have to finish my hair and do my make-up for church. Yes, I am going to church, unlike some heathens that I know(you know who you are ;) )

I may give update later, but if not, I'll post tommorow.

Sick

Hi,

Here is a update. I turned 17 a week ago. It was nice. I got lots of cool presents. My favorite present was a homemade scarf I got from my sister. It is purple and green. I love it very much. It's wierd being 17. I feel a little older but I still look 14. Everyone tells me how young I look. I guess its ok.

So, I am sick. I have a cold. I can hardly breathe through my nose. I hate that. It means that I can't sleep at night. It's terrible because I have a trip on Sunday. I don't want to be sick on my vacation. That would be tragic. If you read this, pray that I feel better by this Sunday.

In other quick news.. I have new FanFiction stories. I would like you to read them if you like Life With Derek.

Are You Lucky?

Do you have a mom and dad love you?
Are both of your parents alive?
Do your parents still love each other?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you are lucky.

Do you have best friends?
Do have at least one friend who would come save you if your car broke down on the highway?
Do at least 20 people know and remember your name?
Is there a place where you can go where you know you will be accepted?

If so, you are loved.

Do you have a warm place to sleep every night?
Do you eat 3 aduqate meals a day?
Do you have more then 3 pairs of pants(nice, clean pants)?
Do you eat out at least once every couple weeks?

If you said yes to at least once of those above, you are rich.

Have you ever been shot at just because you were at the wrong place at the wrong time?
Have you ever had to worry about being abducted during the night?
Do you or someone you love have AIDs and are dying from it?
Have you ever been forced to kill your own mother?
Have you ever even had to choose between your life or the life of someone you love, knowing that one of you would have to die.

If you replied "no", you are luckier than lots of kids all over Africa.

Do you know where you are going where you die?
Do know that God loves you and wants a relationship with you?
Have you accepted Christ as your personal savior?
Do you know that you can be forgiven no matter what you have done or will do?

If you said "yes" to all of the above, You are blessed.

If you said "no" to even one of the above, you are still lucky, but you don't know for certian where your life will lead you. You need someone who will lead you and love you wherever you are. When life is great and when life is rotten, He will be there. I know this, because I have seen it. I am loved, lucky and rich but I am nothing without His love. Jesus is my superhero because he saved me from my death. I know I will go to heaven. I hope to see all my friends there. I hope to see you there.

All you have to do is surrender... Your life is not about you and what you want. God put you on this earth for reasons unknown to everyone but him. If you let him guide you, he will help you do things you never knew you could do. He can use you to change the world if you let him. Please, just surrender, you won't ever regret it.

Over and Out,

30 Hour Famine, A cute guy and Alegbra

The things in the title have many things to do with each other. First, my youth group did the 30 Hour Famine. I raised $106 to go without eating for 30 Hours. It was a great time. I learned alot about what I could be doing to help hungry and sick children. I felt I also grew closer to God and closer to some of my friends. It was hard to go without food, but it was worth it. We had a picture scavenger hunt. We had to travel around with a leader and take pictures of something or someplace. One of the things we had to do was take a picture with a celebrity. We went to Wal-Mart and took a picture with the Smiley face. The whole thing was loads of fun.

Kay, now the cute guy. Well, I like this guy now. His name is Brian. He has the coolest, most adorable smile. He is also really sweet. He helped me with my Algebra II and he was really patient. There was this one time where I knew he thought I was stupid, but he just went on trying to explain it. He was like "2+2?" I thought he was saying it, not asking it, so I was like "huh?". He repeated it and I explained myself. He is also really nice to little kids. He likes to play with them and make them laugh. I can not help but like a guy that does that. One other thing I like about him is that he is helpful at church. He does the dishes in the kitchen and helps sell pop. He does the other little things around the church too. He is just cool.

I realized that I liked him at the 30 Hour Famine, but I liked him before, when he was tutoring me in Algebra but I did not want to admit it. That is how they all tie together.

Until next time,
Brenna

Valentine's Day

Actually this year is the first year where Valentine's Day is just any other day. In that I mean, we make the poeple we love feel special every day. There are so many articles, "The perfect Valentine's gift," "How to make her feel special," "How to be your own Valentine." I think people should give gifts all the time, whenever they want. What is the point of Valentine's Day if you use one day a year to show how much you love someone? Today is just like any other day. Sure, I did pass out valentines, but really I can give out cards anyday.

I thank God that he does not wait until a special day to bring me blessings. If God gives us Roses everyday, why don't we do the same thing to others?

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.
